It Works When You Use It.

Prayer.

So The Feast Of Passover passed, I automatically got extremely busy.  I haven’t been able to connect in the way I desire with you all! So many goals needed to be met, so many changes occurring, oh my! Lol. I literally would come home just wanting to knock out and not desire to talk to anyone. I did not like that. Something was wrong. I don’t ever want to give my all to this world and not have anything else for those I love. It felt so wrong.

However, being so busy caused a development within me to want more prayer because I earnestly needed it then, and I still need it now.

Man.

Prayer works.

Despite fatigue, getting on my knees brought forth strength, humility, happiness and longevity to push! I pushed alright lol! I PRAYED UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENED.

All this to say:

When you’re full, I hope you’re praying. And when you’re empty I hope you’re praying.

Whatever it is, go before Yahweh with praise, thanks, offerings, confessions, requests and more.

“Do not worry at all, but in every matter, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to Elohim.” Philippians 4:6‬

“And in the same way the Spirit does help in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray, but the Spirit Himself pleads our case for us with groanings unutterable. And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the set-apart ones according to Elohim.” Romans 8:26-27‬

Hey there!

I pray you are well, healthy, living in the spirit Yahweh, and being positive! Yes you! ☺️
I haven’t forgotten my friends and followers. And I really do hope you all haven’t forgotten this platform I’ve created for you. Cause I am so grateful to know my viewers enjoy this blogsite. I’ll be back sooner than you know it! Just wanted to send love peace and joy.

P.S. check out the new signature logo. I’ll be writing a separate post about it and more down the line.

Spring Cleaning Time!

Peace and love y’all!

I’m so excited to write about my favorite time of the year…SPRING

Flowers are blooming, leaves are growing and dancing, rain showers are here and it’s getting warmer. Well, at least on some days. This sister is still wearing winter coats here and there.

Before I knew I was a Hebrew Yisraelite, this time of the year mattered to me in a natural sense. Why? Because it just felt new. Come on, bright colors and beautiful flowers return. I love flowers and nature so much, thus I love to watch the plants & flowers bloom to be beautiful and become their purpose. There’s much symbolism there. Such as obedience, joy, order, and peace. (But that’s another blog post!)

What I do enjoy about spring or the arrival of it is….

Yesterday I can home from work early and decided that I can start cleaning out my closets and dressers. I let go of clothes, shoes, papers I thought took space and no longer needed. Then the thought was placed in my mind that spring cleaning is so deeper than searching my closet!

Spring cleaning has a lot of symbolism in it for me in a spiritual sense that I’d like to share.

Cleaning out my things is symbolic to purging my life, like a detox. Today, I went through my clothes and belongings to see what I use or don’t use, what’s taking up space and what’s useful. It helps declutter and just bring about a renewed peace. Letting go is apart of the process, and depending on your will, that can be the hardest part of the process. But we’ve got to clean up!

Being a Hebrew Yisraelite, I recognize that the Feast of the Most High Yah, Passover is approaching. Spiritually, it is a time of self-reflection to see if there be leaven/sin (yeast) in my heart. And when sin is acknowledged, the purging begins. This is similar to throwing things out, The Most High takes an active part in His people’s lives by showing them their sins.

“Search me, O Ěl, and know my heart; Try me, and know my thoughts; And see if an idolatrous way is in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalms 139:23-24

In becoming a better woman, I want to let go of so much that binds me to the old girl I used to be. It takes more than writing this blog. Just as cleaning out a room can take up time (depending on the clutter) purging takes action/work.

I’m so grateful for spring! I’m so grateful for this new year!

If you desire to become a better woman, while you search your closets, search your heart for any negativity you’ve been harboring. My hope is that you let it go and gain positivity .

Shalom!

What is this blog about anyway?

Good question!

Blessings to ALL of my viewers, readers, and supporters. You know you are welcome to visit here at all times. Lol, I really do like hearing from you all. It helps me know I’m not singing a sad song and that someone is interested in this blog haha! PS: I’ll follow you back so we can stay connected.

So back to answering the question. When I first started this blog last October, I was not half the person I am today. No, no. I don’t think I’m all of that now. But it’s true. I knew less and carried a lot more emotionally, spiritually and especially mentally. BUT. There’s one thing that has remain the same. The desire to be a better woman.

…and that’s what my blog is about.

Desiring better for myself and other women. I desire to live, think, love, cook, pray better. Do I have all the answers? Nope. After all I’m still a youngin lol. So if you’re a mommy desiring to become better, I’d love to hear from you on how I can become a better woman! Real stuff.  Because I’m not a mother yet. I can’t share what I don’t know, so let’s make this into a community. With straight posivity, support, love and growth.  Oh, now I’m pumped!

So stay tuned with my blog. There are a lot of changes coming and I’m excited for the route of this blog. If you have any ideas you’d like to share, please leave them in the comment below!

Otherwise, I look forward to connecting with you via social media.
Peace and love y’all!

I’m back!

Hey amazing readers!

I’ve been away for about two weeks and I am officially back. Back with more juice, energy, pazazz and all that good stuff!

In two weeks, so much has changed! Lol, it’s interesting how that happened but that’s my life. What I am proud to say is, a lot has changed for the better but we can talk about that in another blog right?!

I do want to share what taking a break from social media for 1-1.5 week has done for me. Cause I’m feeling like a N E W woman! Haha! Let’s get to it!

  • First, I had to spend more time with The Most High. Time from work, social media and organization my life gave me time to just do what I want and need to be doing.  And in spending time with Him, I learned more the so of who I am and how my nature is. I followed patterns, habits and my body. I learned more about this person I am. I’m so grateful to The Most High that I’ve learned more of myself. For beholding brings forth change.
  • I got to spend more time with my spiritual family and just connect with them. Since we’re all so busy with work and goals, this was our chance to pause and learn more of each other. That was amazing. I love them all.
  • Lastly, I was able to just… relax from the constant clicking! Lol. So much has been going on in my life and it involves a whole lot of typing and clicking and surfing the web. I did miss seeing my beautiful followers and their posts, but I was able to just chill and recharge my battery.

Time away was very much needed y’all! I learned about myself (and others) and I decided to change a few things. Truthfully, I was getting a bit tired in other areas in my life, so I needed to rest. You know … I took my own advice (Click here for my own advice).

Sometimes we just need time away, to unplug, reconnect, rest and recharge. Make sure you are giving yourself that time to do so. I challenge you to try it for a day and spend time with amazing people. You alone can be that amazing person! You’ll discover so much! Give it a try! If you’ve tried it before or want to take up the challenge, share below! I want to hear from you!

Unplug

Did you know I value you as a reader? Why would you take time in your day to read what I got to say? But I am superbly grateful. So grateful that I thought I should honor my readers and let you know I’m unplugging from social media for some time. Turning off notifications and temporarily shutting down my apps because I need to connect with what’s present in my life. I must say that I struggle to share stuff like this, since I tend to move in silence, but I’ll get better at being discreet and vulnerable with a clean and righteous balance.

I want to let you know,I’ll be back. If the Most High grants that especially. And I’m sure He will. I do have a lot coming to you. Sweet and cool thoughts, spiritual updates, some new baking fun and much more.

When I get back, we can share more.

Until then, you stay positive, unlearn as much lies as you can, educate yourself and be free from the mental slavery, disconnect if you have to, to connect with the Most High. You’re entitled to doing all that and more..whatever it takes to become better.

Shalom.

Strawberry Water

Hey friends!

Today I am sharing something soo healthy, delicious and easy to put together.

So what’s new? I’ve recently increased my water intake because I just needed to. If you read my post about bentonite clay, you’ll know I drink clay with water for detox and cleansing purposes. I want to take care of my insides and teach those around me the importance of caring for their insides. Hey, click the link and check it out!

On to my new discovery…but I’m sure you know what it is, cause you’ve read the title! (Disclaimer: I am not stating that I’m the founder but yes, I discovered it for myself😋).

Strawberry Water! 🍓🍓

Adding strawberries to your water is not only refreshing and yummy, but it also has health benefits. I’ve witnessed quite a few for myself! Let’s get into it:

  • prevents cancer
  • promotes weight loss
  • Increases metabolism rate
  • Awesome detox
  • potent in Vitamin C
  • hydrates the body

Who knew a bottle of this yumminess  could be filled with these amazing benefits? Cause I didn’t know, but now I do. I began drinking strawberry water mostly because it tasted so yummy and strawberries can sometimes be too sweet to munch on alone. So I threw them into my water. Within a couple of minutes, the juices are released into the water. The longer their infused, the more potent the sweet taste is.

My Testimonial

I did notice that I burned fat & became leaner. That’s one of the best things that could happen! Oh yes it is! I also noticed my metabolism was slowing down and I felt lighter… you know like my 15 year old self, no kidding! I also found that it quenched my thirst! How satisfying!

If you’re interested in increasing your water intake, losing weight, gaining muscle, or a simple detox, try strawberry water! You’ll feel lighter and look forward to drinking it everyday lol. You’ll even go to bed early so you can have it again the next day.

Oh, if you’re fancy, try it with sparkling water.

Let me know if you have tried this water or if you will! Or share other yummy infused waters to try along with their benefits.

Shalom!

Rachel Nadine

how i tried to build a mansion in one day.

Welcome viewers! Grab some tea, coffee or hot chocolate (if you’re nutty for hot chocolate like me). Enjoy the read!

Let’s see if you can relate! You have a goal and you think of one million tasks it will take to accomplish it. And right there, you begin! You run out to buy all your supplies or you pull out whatever you need. Your goal is to get it done and get it done ASAP! You’re excited and your mind is flooded with so many ideas and joy. And with all your excitement, you want to tackle one hundred million tasks in one day and accomplish your goal. You just want to see the results!

So you’re doing it. You’ve done about four goals and you’re getting it! Go on now! But then… you’re stuck on the fifth one. It’s about one in the morning and you’ve got a full morning planned and you cannot afford to be tired. But hey, you’re only on the fifth out of one hundred million tasks. And you think, once I get pass this fifth task, I’ll be done in no time. You look at the time again and it’s 2 am and your eyes are sooo darn tired. By the way, you’re still on the fifth task cause you made a huge mistake or something went wrong. The excitement starts to decrease and decrease until it’s gone. Now you’re frustrated so you get ready for bed. At this moment, you’re realizing  you won’t accomplish this goal tonight. Cause the realistic thing to do is get ready for bed. You’ve got that full morning to overcome and try to be all intentional  for (check out my blog on how I’m exercising intentional-ism), but you’re not even heading to bed in a positive mindset.

You’re upset. In one day, you had this awesome goal that came to mind and you wanted to accomplish it, all in that one day. You allowed your mind to tell you this: because you didn’t do it in one day, just let it go because it’ll never be accomplished. Or it tells you: I’m not willing to plan this out, because I want my goal, and I want it now (please stop) or you actually plan to get to it the next day, but instead you ignore it and do something else. You’re giving yourself poor negative talk which may just result in a completely failed goal.

When you fail you can either give up, or assess, plan and try it again.

The scenario above  is a bad habit I harbored in the past. I’ve tried to build mansions within one day. And it was never successful. I failed to plan and I failed to rest. I’d work myself up so much because I was so excited not realizing my decisions were not timely and I was making myself tired in all sorts of ways. I wasn’t working with a strategic plan! I was sprinting this race from the start trying to sprint it out to the end. Gasping for air and I am nowhere near the finish line. No bueno!

If you’re anything like this dirty habit, I encourage you to plan. It’s not that your idea is flat out wrong. It may just be immature with poor strategic plans and you may be burnt out from trying to build it in one day.  Being burnt out is a negative because you begin to feel all types of ways about your once exciting goal! But really I learned all I have to do is rest, don’t quit. Resting can take a day to a span of a week, just make sure you rest well so that you can come back with full strength and a strategic plan.

And if you’re nothing like that old habit, keep doing what you do and become better! Share some tips below for those of us who are still crawling out of this bad habit shell.

Plan your success and take breaks! Do something relaxing or reward yourself for the little victories you’ve gained so far. I believe you can build that mansion, maybe not in one day, but I believe you can build it with awesome planning and resting. Go no now, you can do it!

  9. Share a link to your best post(s).

Three Fun Facts on Me

  1. I am the youngest and only girl of four.
  2. I enjoy singing along when my fiancee plays his instruments.
  3. I collect journals for brain dumps/ideas, prayer entries and bullet journel/bujo because they’re pretty and full of empty space that can become almost anything!

Questions  Answered

  1. If your life was a book, what would this chapter be called? “Happy, Go Lucky” cause I wasn’t always a smiler, especially not in New York. Sadly, no one has time to crack a smile. Nowadays I catch myself smiling naturally and smiling to myself lol.
  2. What is your motivation/inspiration? My motivation is my fiancee! We share our goals with each other and hold each other accountable. I can’t let myself down and neither do I want to let him down.
  3. What’s the best book or movie you’ve read/seen? Recently, I’ve been hooked on War Room (save it and watch it!) because it’s a great lesson on the importance of prayer in one’s life and how much the enemy is really seeking to kill, steal and destroy. Heads up, the cries are so fake!
  4. What’s the best thing you learned from 2016? The best thing I learned about myself in 2016 was how negative my mindset was and still is. I learned that I cannot  be surprised about my sometimes crazy thoughts but rather be active in positive thinking and becoming better, hence my blog’s name!
  5. What is one song that you’re embarrassed to admit you like? Oh my lol. I am greatly into Hakuna Matata from the Lion King. I mean it means no worries (sings) for the rest of your dayssss! It’s our problem free philosophyyy, Hakuna Matata!

My Favorite Post Thus Far:

Intentional (most recent too!)

This was so fun to do!

Shalom,

Rachel Nadine

Intentional.

My childhood was something like this: wake up, go to school, go to church, play sports, dance, sing, repeat. Of course, there were days were I did things I enjoyed like blogging, vlogging, learning to sew, hang out etc. But for the most part I did a lot of  tasks under the mindset of “you’re just suppose to” rather than the “let’s get it!”mindset. So if you asked me what did I do in the last five ( or even ten) years of my life, today I’d say I existed. I met my requirement in every place but I was never really…Intentional. Because average was okay, I made the cut. But who’s really happy making the cut? I know I really wasn’t.

Now, here is where I can insert my sob story on how I grew up which is why I wasn’t intentional, but I won’t throw my valuable energy there, because I just don’t want to and it won’t benefit you or even myself.

One day, I got tired of doing the daily do’s and had to ask myself realistic questions because I was not happy being average. What do you want Rachel? Are you happy? Are you successful? How much do you care about your success? What do you even define as success?  I saw others succeed and wanted the same. Not their story exactly, but success in how it was properly defined for me. I began asking them questions, no matter how silly I felt, and answering my own questions for what they were.

Hearing the answers did hurt. But that “hurt” brought forth change. Some days better than others. But little by little, a new flower was sprouting! A happy intentional one.

In being intentional, I am able to understand what my goals are clearly and do things with meaning. For example, I no longer go to work because I have to (granted, I really do have to). But I make the most of work. If I am going to work, I am going to be the best at what I do. I want to be the best hugger/lover. I want to be the best sister, daughter, wife, friend, you NAME it.

And all of those best exist in outdoing myself. In outdoing myself, I have strategies on what I do to track my life and my success and slip ups (which will bring forth success). I longer want to be average. I have NO desire in doing so. I find joy in being intentional. Whatever I take part in, I put high expectation within myself to strive and do it with the greatest intent ever.

Are you striving? Are you happy with where you at? Don’t be average. Imagine how great you could be if only you did things with meaning?
